Dispatchers do get non-rev benefits if you are working for a 121 carrier. If the airline you work for is part of the CASS system you may be able to jumpseat on other carriers (different then non-rev). Dispatcher are typically located at the corporate headquarters working in the Operation Control Center (OCC), therefore you would most likely want to live in the same city as where you work. To work as a dispatcher for a regional you will need to get your dispatch license.
