Customs & Border Protection (old Customs Air Ops) is requiring 1500 PIC with Com/Inst. plus other stuff, unless you want to be a Border Patrol Agent for about a year first. Then they'll bring you into the training program at around 250 PIC with Com/Inst. It might be different for you army rotorheads though, especially if your a 10 point VET. It would be a good career and a good bunch of guys in the air and on the ground. I think they're GS 13 as journeyman pilots. With Availability pay thats over 100 grand a year. Your choice of station might be limited at first, but after that its all about who you know.

As far as silver state go's I don't know that much about them. But they do like to fly upwind on my airparks' downwind at pattern altitude and cut of people on final at the local public airport. I guess that says something about what they are teaching their students. Oh and charge about 90 grand for the lessons!!!

Good Luck, I'm sure you could do better
