The social stigma in the US that college is a MUST is just a way to fuel the academic economy.

Nothing I learned at Cornell about Psychology, WWII History, Wines, etc etc etc, is going to make me a better pilot than the next guy. But Doug just confirmed the hypocritical part of it all; Get a prestigious degree and surely you must be a better pilot than the guy/gal that does not!
