I dropped out of college, and I can carry on lots of conversations.
-Agriculture
-Politics of small towns
-Why Chicago is a really great city
-Superstring theory and the basics of quantum physics
-Why crocs are ugly
-What detergent really gets out stains
-History of NASA and the beginnings of the U.S. & Soviet space programs
-How to get a mortgage
-Basic plumbing repair
-Gardening, land/lawnscaping & horticulture
-How to tell authentic Tiffany from fake
and that's just what I can come up with off the top of my head.
To say someone who didn't go to college or didn't graduate can't talk about anything intelligent or anything but airplanes is generalizing & like all generalizations is usually incorrect.
