I also found this site
http://flying-club.org/fc/default.htm very helpfull as it shows all the flying clubs around the world. The benefits of joining a flying club are the better rates, paying by wet tach instead of hobbs, better coverage on the clubs insurance policy as well as better access to a wider range of and usually more diverse aircaft.
