There are flight schools that are on the UVSC global aviation list that can get UVSC financial aid for flight training, nobody is actually "affiliated" with UVSC.
There are two ways to get credit:
1. Challenge them, which I have not done, but basically you have the rating already and you pay for the credit.
2. Take the full semester class: DO NOT do this unless you will actually finish the certificate or rating within the semester. They will give out incomplete grades for the flight classes, but that can really mess with your financial aid from a "satisfactory academic progress" standpoint. |
I will probably just have to challenge them. I plan on applying for Fall 08, and by then, I should have all ratings up to my CFI. I'm going to try and contact them again tomorrow too. Thanks for the help, and advice everyone.
