They just need to let it happen already. Government aid packages for foreclosures, rate cuts, etc. I know they're holding off on pulling the plug until after the election but IMHO the government is doing more harm to the economy by dragging out the uncertainty. Our economy is inherently strong, it will recover.
But I agree, when it happens, it's going to be big.
