Yes, you're exactly right. Passengers also know flight attendants are sitting down as well; hence, the reason for the YouTube videos. Additionally, PAX are always in collusion. One is videoing; the other is looking out for the FA. Typical.

Let them get caught and the FA wish to press the issue.
