Start by getting the Multi-Engine Instructor rating. You'll need 15 hours of Multi PIC to qualify for the checkride. Before doing that you'll want to freshen up on all aviation knowledge and Fundamentals of Instructing. That one checkride will renew your expired CFIs. Then instruct. If your in north Atlanta then I'd check out ATP. My friend had an expired CFI that was renewed by getting the MEI through them. Worked out well because he got on as an instructor too. Just a thought.
