Default Re: Knoxville

I grew up just outside of Knoxville and have a lot of friends that went to school there and stayed. It's a pretty cool town for the most part. You'll find any number of things to do in the city and then theres the mountains just minutes away.
The city has come a long way towards cleaning itself up and revitalizing the downtown area with trendy bars and restaurants and boutiques. The current mayor just re-elected and he has done wonders for area. He's really done a lot to bring in new business and investments and it shows. Like most towns this size its spreading out and not really building up. To the south its exploding along the I-75 corridor. Housing should be extremely affordable-especially if you're willing to drive 20-30 minutes to get to the airport. We're talking $500 bucks for a house or $350 for a nice apartment downtown.
The University of Tennessee is there also with something like 25,000+ students with more than it's fair share of tube-top-wearin'-its 30degrees-get-drunk hotties wanting to show their Big Orange Pride!
I think when I get done with this contract I might hit PSA up as I'd love to move back to E.TN.
Just some quick highlights.
Good luck.
