Default Re: any MidWest (OH, IN/PA/MI/WV) ANG/AF Reserve pilots?

Dang man.

Jack #### to UPT in 2 years is going to be an uphill battle. I'm thinking Everest kind of uphill.

Do NOT limit yourself to that area (unless civvy job requires it.) You're going to have a better chance at a slot at units that are geographically removed from.... anything. (read: AKANG). If you're serious about flying in the Guard, you should move up to ANC and rush the AK ANG units pretty hard. They have a board in the next few months for several different units that fly tankers, various herks, C-17s, and helos. That's going to be your best shot.

If you're stuck in that area, I'd say rush the 167th pretty hard. I've heard they don't get too many applications.

PS, AFOQT and TBAS need to be done yesterday.

Keep us posted with your progress, and good luck.
