If you do the math, 15 upgrades a month, 750 pilots, 400 of them CA's, that means you have to move up 350 pilots. That's 50 months, or just over 4 years. |
We're losing about 20 Captains a month over the last few months....not to mention a few FO's every month.... so we're losing ~3% of our pilot group. 2-3 year upgrades will continue for a while. Upgrade is low now and will continue because the big guys are hiring... and some haven't even begun to hire yet. Also...there was a WAVE of people about 1.5 years ago that upgraded, and they are all starting to leave (Cathay, CAL, NWA, Delta, etc.)... so that is good too!
