Re: How long was your airline interview? Airline interviews are generally done in large groups (although the interview it's self isn't always), so you end up sitting around waiting a lot.
My first interview started at 7pm on a Tuesday night to do the sim ride. I didn't get in the sim until 12:15am (there were a bunch of us) and after a 15 minute sim session headed out the door and got to my hotel at 1:30 or so.
Day two started at 8am although the HR people got in on a flight that was running late and didn't get there until 9:30. Intro about the company took about 30 minutes plus Q&A took another 30 minutes. We then took a written test and broke for lunch around 11:30 while they graded the tests and looked at our logbooks. After lunch they called us into the actual 2 on 1 interview. Again, I was sort of towards the end so I ended up sitting around until about 4. The interview itself was 10 minutes tops.
So add everything together 7-12:30 + 8-4:30... 14 hours of time spent sitting in the training center. Of that maybe 3 hours was spent actually doing stuff. |
