Yep... with Mesa you can fly anywhere that USair and any carrier that you sub-contract for (i.e. United or Delta depending on which system you fly in) for free. After a month or so they will give you access to a system to list yourself and immediate family for flights and WHAM, BANG, WHOOSH... you go to the airport and wait for a empty seat. It's a great system. Once you get qualified, you can also jumpseat... over the past few weeks lots of people have written (including myself... although mine was more of a rant about what not to do) primers about how to jumpseat. You'll jumpseat ad non-rev alot if you don't live where you are based.
