I just retired from the military and have a couple more weeks left in class then I take the Dispatcher exam.

Was wondering about pay and who all is hiring Dispatchers.

I worked in flight operations in the military I have 16 years experience. I worked in a flight service station and was the only person on duty through the day.
I am curious if there are any differences between military Dispatchers and civilian Dispatchers.

I was the only one on duty through the day so I had to do the weather briefings, flight plans, flight following, crew hours, aircraft maintenance hours, to mention a few.

just wondering where to start as a civilian with experience and if any companies would recognize my experience.
