I ended up spending about 35k on my training.

I took out a 20k loan, and then floated my VA money to pay for the rest of my training (15k to finish my Commercial ME and SE add-on).

I got 18k back from the VA, which 15k went back to Falcon for the rest of my training and the other 3k is sitting in my savings account with the exception of about 1500 that was used for my MEI and CFI ratings (completed part 61).
