Thanks guys! I believe the bases are given out during training, but they did ask me what my preferences would be. However, the certificate that you are assigned (Republic, Chautauqua, or Shuttle) is random based on which training class they need to fill up. So if you are looking for a certain base, i.e. Chicago, I believe Shuttle is the certificate you are looking for. I've heard other people say that you can really stress that you want that base and would be willing to wait for the next training class for the E-170 for Shuttle.
