Doesn't DC make a convertable model? It's got smaller ears, but converts to a regular full-size headset. I think it was a DC.....

I've never put headsets on my kids when they've flown (not that they've flown very often though). When we've gone up I've worn mine just over one ear, and that was so I could hear the kids AND the radio.
