I am not sure an online forum is the best medium to debate this. As for Von Fonk, I would spend your hard saved cash on FBO training, try to get your ratings quickly and start working your way up. You shouldn’t spend too much more 35k to go through CFI at an FBO, at least I didn’t, if you go everyday it shouldn’t take you more than 6 months either. After that, you can save your cash for your low pay years, or go for the Masters. But choose whether you want to be on the pilot side or the management side and go for it full tilt.
