So far, I only utilize the out of date GPS for positioning. Lack of updated databases do not provide, as is rhetorical, updated information. . .which I can get from a sectional.
Unless the airport has moved, I'm not too much concerned with the lack of updates. I've "loaned" out my GPS to virtually everyone at my school, and they thoroughly enjoy the comfort level increased with the GPS they use.
