One day I ducked into a deli on Ventura Blvd in Studio City, and at that time, the only people in there were the people working there, myself, and a very famous female comedian. Anyway, while I'm waiting for my sandwich I notice the comedian going through this very bizarre ritual of kissing her fingers and then touching the door frame, the wall, the table, etc. I tried not to stare, but I have to admit that I was fascinated. I looked at the folks behind the counter with a weird look on my face, and they just shrugged their shoulders and said, "She does that every time she comes in here."
