Wahoooo!!!!
I can now carry friends and family on trips anywhere a little 172 wants to go. Had the checkride this morning at 9am with a retired Comair guy here in Cincinnati. The oral portion was really less than I had it made up to be. Between stories we would talk airspace, regs, ect. then he said let's go fly.
I had planned an XC from Blue Ash to Terre Haute, IN. After seeing my second check point we turned north for some steep turns. They went fine, then on to power-on turning stall to the right. Unusual attitudes under the hood were fun! A power off turning stall to the left, then turns around a barn.
All the manuevers were fine so we headed back to the home field for a normal landing with touch-and-go then for a soft field landing and that's it!
I now join the ranks of an actual pilot! 17 year life dream/ goal accomplished; and all in 3-months
Today is a good day!!!
