The actual nuts and bolts of working traffic is not bad at all. There is just so much other BS that goes along with this job that makes it aggravating, especially the politics.
The job used to be a lot better, it does kinda blow right now. The new guys (and gals) coming in are really getting a hose job, they are really being jerked around by the FAA. Once the White House changes hands I think things will ease up quite a bit. There is a lot of dead wood at the top of the FAA right now and they will start to vanish over the next year or so, things
should start to improve then.
