Re: Scenic I wore dress pants, and nice white dress shirt, and a tie. No jacket. Pretty much went exactly like all the gouge I read. The sim prep the night before really helped out for the sim ride. The actual ride was alot easier than I thought. Took off from LAS, he acted as ATC and gave me my clearance. Flew some made up SID, did a hold off of a DME fix, he wanted to know what entry and what heading you'll turn to for the entry. Gave vectors to turn me around then cleared direct to the BLD VOR hold as published, again wanted to know the entry and the procedure to enter. Didn't do any steep turns. Right after the hold cleared for the approach. Verbalized everything I was doing regarding to when I was going to descend and what altitude I was going to level off at, MDA, MAP, etc. That was pretty much it. He is really relaxed about it and even gave me a few hints and tips to help out. The Tech/HR portion was after that. Started with a logbook check, read a TAF. Brought out the LGB ILS Jepp Plate and they said we are over Seal Beach, how would we fly this approach. Finger Flew the approach and they asked a few questions along the way about altitudes, headings, etc. Wanted to know 3 ways to identify Becca. Basically just wanted to see you know your Jepp Plates good, and your IFR procedures. A few HR questions, and the usual questions about your Captain acting funny, what would you do? Overall from what i've seen the people at Scenic really seemed to care, and wanted to hire you. Friendly people and not intimidating or scary! Good luck to anyone else! |
