I bet you're talking about SCSI. I haven't heard much about 'em (but they have been endorsed by folks I consider reliable).

My opinion: The courses are a little pricey -- $2k-$3k for a week and a half (not terrible). I'd recommend this kind of thing only if you're already lined up for the carreer of an investigator/flight safety folk, but that's just my opinion. Credentials hardly ever hurt, unless they're from Joliet.
