Check out this NTSB Report; the FO had tried to hide an anxiety problem from the Feds, and he's never going to fly again. |
I didn't mean I had anxiety issues... it was more like if I go to the docs, sure enough they'll try and prescribe something to me. I went a few years back and the doc told me "If you feel fine then you probably are fine, no need to come see me". I don't take any kind of medication except the occasional aspirin or Ibuprofin or a shot of Nyquil if I really feel like crap. Other than that I don't feel like anything is bad enough to go on daily medication.
Sorry to hear you can't fly 732, but can't you still do some training? I guess you just can't solo w/out your medical or something right? If thats the case...at least go learn to fly and who cares if you need to have an instructor w/you, hours are hours no matter how you get em.
My gramps (god rest his soul) had a bad ticker and couldn't get a medical...he was a stubborn ol bastard and wouldn't take no for an answer. That DIP##### bought a plane, took enough lessons to solo and was off into the wild blue yonder logging lots of hours in kind of a kamikaze fashion with no regard for safety. It wasn't until years later when I learned to fly that I realized what a moron he actually was for doing the things he did and how little he actually knew about flying.
