It's a selfish thought. Yes, people like me that have already been through all the training required to become CPs, CFIs, etc. would benefit from user fees. There wouldn't be too many people coming up behind us due to the extreme cost. It's already happening due to insurance and fuel costs.
But it's not good. I would MUCH rather see somebody else like me be able to live their dream and have a realistic chance of doing so.
