I don't know how many times that I have had to go around when I was TDY to TPA because I was going 30 knots faster than the A320 that was ahead of me on an intersecting runway. It was always the Citrus gang. But I know the Mil tower are required to ask about the gear, I just cannot believe that a Civ tower would lecture like that. All though, some ATC controllers think that they are god, ATC at CPS (For those who know).
