Teaching isn't a bad way to pay for flight training. I've been doing that it for a year and a half and am finishing my multi commercial, about to move on to CFI. It's been a bit slower than the "drop everything, take out a 45K loan and fly" method, but debt sucks and I'd rather have enough $ to enjoy life when I do make flying my career. Plus, you get "real world" experience and you build a "back up" resume.
