I've flown in some pretty stiff winds. Landed with winds pushing into the upper 30's, and as I hit about a 1 mile final and got a wind check, they'd shift around to a slight tailwind, gusting to 49

. With the weather deteriorating rapidly, landing that puppy was the best option at that moment. As I stopped off the runway, into the wind, I was indicating 40+.
