Just wanted to say "hello" to you all. I am new to this site, and to aviation in general.
Five years ago I got my PPL; last year, after quitting my auto mechanic job after 12yrs, and selling my house (which my new wife of 2yrs was not excited about, but VERY supportive), I moved to Daytona FL (no, not ERAU) for about a year to finish my flight training.
After training, we moved back to Greensboro NC where I instructed for about a year before the owner decided to close the small school down.
So currently, I am working with the USAF in Sumter SC (temp. duty from my Air Guard unit) forecasting weather, and flying my C-150 to build on the 850TT I have, till I can find that flight position that fits me best... still not sure what that is ... Till then, I'm just enjoying the skies, and talking aviation!
I look forward to reading, learning, posting, etc.
