Re: Background checks If you're having trouble remembering addresses, pull a credit report on yourself (you get one free each year from each credit reporting agency). It will include a list of the place you have lived for about the past ten years. (It's a little scary how much they know about us.)
And the airlines absolutely will check to confirm that you lived where you said you did for at least the past ten years. Not necessarily the exact address, but they are required by federal law to confirm where you have been and what you've been doing for the last ten years. That includes checking with employers and colleges to confirm employment and enrollment, and if you have any gaps in employment/school, you'll have to provide other information to confirm your whereabouts. These sorts of things can and do hold up the security check and (in most cases) your class start date. So best to get it worked out up front.
