After the games its amazing how many great officials there are in the stands.
Many times I would carry a few cards with information from the Minnesota State High School League and how to register with an official...When the people would start yapping, I just hand them a card and say, "here you go, we're always looking for a few good people".

Or you could always go with, "What color is your shirt?" then you get the confused the look in their face, "Huh?" then you answer, "when your shirt is black and white stripes, then I'll listen, otherwise, sit down, enjoy the game and be quiet."

BTW, R2F....I apoligize if I hijacked your thread into officiating. Congrats on getting your guys through it all. I know I have seen a few kids move on from the games I ref'd to D1 ball. It is definetly exciting.

Good on You....
