At least it was just 3 stitches. The sedation was the most 'risky' part of it all (not that I was worried, really it was the best way to put stitches in someone so small!). Watching my 'baby' laying limp on a operating table was a little un-nerving. I kept telling myself "it's just stitches, not open heart surgery", but it was still creepy seeing him like that.
I hear you on that Amber. My six yr old had some dental surgery when he was 3 and had to be knocked out. They gave me the option of holding him while he smelled the funny gas. Sure, no problem I thought. I swear I was balling when he went under. Yes, it's only somehting minor but when they go almost lifeless, it is very un-nerving as you said.
