I don't like polarized. LCD's can be difficult to read (PITA), and the occasional piece of glass turns to a bluish purple... whether that is in a car, an airplane, a motorcycle helmet, or the plastic cover I keep over my mp3 player. If I am fishing polarized is great, but otherwise I just use a dark lens. I notice no difference in eyestrain.
