Which I don't have a problem with. What I do have a problem with is most people that buy trucks just to have trucks immediately complain about the ride, lack of features, lack of passenger room, etc. Next thing you know we have these bastardizations on the the road that are barely more capable than a damn van. You used to be able to buy a half ton that could tow 9000 pounds. Now you have to buy the super heavy duty trucks to do that. It's not a drive train limit either. It's the suspension. It's so damn soft now because these pandsies can't take the ride that you're tongue weight limit goes down the crapper. Put the Duramax diesel and allison transmission in an old 70s ford, chevy or studdabaker, and I bet you could tow 20,000 pounds. Case point, trucks are becoming this way for one soul reason. People are insecure enough that they must compensate by towering over everybody on the road, but don't want to put up with driving a vehicle that has almost unlimited utilitarian purposes, so they bitch about it to dealers, which goes to the manufacturer, which then goes to the guys designing them and progressively each generation becomes nothing more than a van with bigger tires.

You know, if you need an extended cab truck with an 8 foot bed, you have to order it now? STUPID!!!!!! It's not Ford, Dodge, or Chevy's fault either.
