I don't generally just pull stuff out of my... umm, thin air. The reason I bothered to click on QUOTE and compose a reply is because I thought I might know the correct answer, and it hadn't been offered in the thread, and I thought LoadMaster141 would appreciate having the correct information. But I wasn't sure, so I didn't just post useless, incorrect information. I knew it was greater than 6 minutes, because I was aware of editing posts as much as 30 minutes after posting.

So I tested it. I thought it might be 60 minutes, but found it was greater. I knew it had to be less than 3 hours, so I thought then it might be 90 minutes, but found it to be greater. Then, when I left a dialogue box open beyond the 120 minute limit and attempted to Post an EDIT, I got a dialogue box... it said the Administrator had set the time limit to... watch this... 120 minutes.

  1. The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 120 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.

And that's why I said, "120 minutes".

Here's a link to an example of a post that was edited at the 120 minute point: http://forums.jetcareers.com/showpos...49&postcount=4
