Default Re: Air Wisc/Skyway

Midwest is a very conservative company. They want to have someone else test out the waters on any new routes, before they make a commitment to buy any new fleet of A/C. Even though Skyway has been saying that they will get rid of the 1900, they are hiring for many Beech classes well into 2007, and they just changed the budget for that. Some of the routes can only be serviced by something like a 1900. Not too many other players in the area can take over those gov't subsidized routes. Midwest also has very high demands that another contract companies won't feasibly be able to meet and can't compete the performance record of Skyway. It is an interesting situation, and no one knows exactly what is going to happen, until Midwest announces it.
