I think you'll do well. You've got the right attitude, you're getting a well-rounded education instead of being single-faceted, you're not loading up on debt to try to get somewhere 3 months earlier, it sounds like you have a great support system, the path you're on is a good one for becoming a well rounded pilot, and it sounds like you're enjoying the journey.
