It's not that bad if you're truly determined or interested in what you're doing. If you want it enough, then you can do it.
If not, you maybe able to slip past the first year, but then you will certainly get owned.

Discourage me? I'm already done, I did my 4 years at Michigan, and got the Aerospace engineering degree.
Right now I'm working as a structural engineer earning the big bucks
