Another Pilot Hangs Up His Wings....
So i give a call to my former CFI to check in with hows he doing. To my knowledge he's in training at Skywest.
Oops, that's out the window.
After a little talking he spills the beans.
He was accepted both to an American Eagle Interview on the ERJ out of ORD and the Bro at Skywest. He rejected his first job acceptance at Eagle because his life long goal was skywest. Well while into his training, he decides to hang it all up. Get out of aviation as a thing of income. Left on the best possible terms with everyone at Eagle and Skywest.
His major factors being: Not willing to sacrifice anymore, tired of it, wants to settle down and have a family, not willing to put up with first few years pay, and he thinks he's getting older (28).
Anyways, i was majorly dissappointed as this guy was an awesome guy. Real down to earth etc. It sucks another great aviator hangs up his wings, but apparently it's for the best of him.
Hopefully he will stay current if he ever changes his mind for some reason...
