Why would you not build a lot of PIC time there? Doesn't FO time count as PIC if your flying certain legs?

Shiny Jet Syndrome. A certain number of new pilots don't wanna fly turboprops because of the perceived respect involved with flying a jet.
FO's can't log it because for the most part they aren't rated in the aircraft. If both pilots have a type rating it would be possible... but there aren't a whole lot of crew settings where both pilots are typed.
