You can get a furnished apartment for $500 a month plus 125 for electricity and water/trash at a place where we have a number of students. I'm not sure what a 2 room place goes for there but getting a roomate would reduce the monthly cost vs having a single. There are of course other housing options.

Debt is dependant on what you want for multi time. You can spend 33-35k with enough multi time to get your multiengine instructor rating or you can get 200 hours for around 48k. There's no upfront costs. The courses on the website aren't set in stone meaning you can do what you want. They were put together from per-hour costs and are for the most part safe estimates. Personally I came out under budget.
