cant speak for the MEI but the ME takes anywhere between 9-20....if you go to ATP or somewhere similiar you will do it in around 9, if you go to an FBO you will probably do it around 15 or so hours, I have found that FBO's are more cautious to ensure you really "know" the material as opposed to "knowing enough" to pass a checkride.

that is my two cents though and is not an ATP knock or a knock on anyone who took 9 hours to get their multi
