And before you go and tell all your friends how sensitive us right wing Yankee lovers are, unlike most franchises if not a matter of IF they win, but WHEN. Of course there's no prediction as far as WHEN, but it will be BEFORE the 80 plus year mark. And no, Steinbrenner didn't ruin baseball, he just pays what he hopes will win it for us. There is a communistic "revenue sharing" systems that is set in place, which takes MOSTLY Yankee money, and money from a few other franchises (maybe Boston) and puts it into a nice pot so that some other team be the next hot Yankee clone of the year (This years Detroit, by their OWN admission.), it's not Boss George's fault that alot of owners pocket the cash and not put it into their teams. Imagine though, would United or American share their cash with, I don't know SONG? Hmmm.
