Did you make a mistake? Only you can answer that. Nobody here will lie to you, this job sucks when you are first starting out. You either want it or you don't. I left my wife in another state and moved to FL when I did my training. We lived apart for over a year, and I borrowed enough to buy a small house. It sucked. But, I did it and now I have a decent job.

As far as jobs go, you will probably not have any trouble getting a CFI job, but you may not get to live where you want, and it may not pay much. No legitimate charter operator will hire a 250 hr pilot.
