Re: Family history of aviation
My grandfather was a pilot both fixed wing and rotor (although he never got rated for helos) He was going to be an airline pilot but he wore glasses. Back in the day, you couldnt be an airline pilot if you wore glasses. so he became a mechanic for airplanes. Then he founded an aerospace engineering company that makes thermocouples for just about every aircraft/helo/etc. After the buisness took off he bought a cessna, then a jet, then a helo, then another jet. NOw he's to old to fly but still bleeds jet fuel. His son (my dad) is president of this copmany and really wants to get his lisecnes. I have always been surrounded by airplanes and was fascinated by them. so now i am about to start flight training.
there it is.
