Default Re: Why didn't I get a Mac...someone help me!!!

It may be a lemon. I bought a Dell desktop for my wife a few months ago. It worked fine for about a week, then starting having all kinds of issues. We called Dell support, yep it's overseas, and they had a local tech come out and replace our power supply one week. That didn't fix it. Had another tech come out and replace the mother board. That didn't fix it. Had another tech come out and replace the hard drive. That didn't fix it. To this day I have no idea what was causing the issues, but long story short, we complained enough and had a brand new computer shipped out to us. We haven't had any problems with the new one, go figure.

I usally build my own computers, but figured this time around it would be "quicker and easier" to just order a Dell. Never again. I'll go back to building them myself next time (of course you can't build laptops). I was like you though, I put off calling tech support until we had no other options. I also couldn't fix it myself because it was under warranty and any parts I put in it would've void that. So basically you have to go through their system. I used to be a big fan of Dell, but have noticed a pretty big decline in the quality of their machines in recent years. Too much outsourcing in my opinion. Anyways, enough rambling. I recommend giving Dell a call and having them fix it before your warranty expires.
