Default Re: Important Question about Interviewing

I was taught there are three types of knowledge in aviation.

1) Stuff the FAA wants you to know (you learn as much of this as you have to.)

2) Stuff that impresses girls at cocktail parties (learn as much as you want)

3) Stuff that keeps you from balling it up in a smoking hole (learn as much as you possibly can!)

Wingspan and rivet counts are definitely category 2.

By the way, this is an acceptable answer if you are interviewing with me: "That's a cocktail party question. Next?"
