For me, it would be settling for less than I have dreamed of.
Especially after working at America West (maybe that wasn't the best example ), I don't want to be involved in that lifestyle...that kind of business environment.
So. I (as the final career move) want to:
Fly "corporate", Fly checks, Fly the ditch, Be an airshow pilot, Fly seaplanes, Demo for an aircraft broker, Ferry GA airplanes, Fly for a mission, Set up a business in multiple locations just so I have to fly to them. Grow my a/c leases and just fly 'em for fun... |
YOU ARE AWESOME!
Everyone has their thing, the thing that makes them happy. I recently decided that the lifestyle of an airline pilot is not compatible with what I want out of life. For some, it's completely compatible, and that's fine. Otherwise I would be scared that we didn't have anymore airline pilots.
I don't like to look at it and think about the "allure" - I have to feel it in my heart to follow anything.
One of the hardest things in life is to realize its inherent simplicity. Do what makes you happy. (Ever read the Alchemist? You should.
